The Deadly Death Mushroom of Death belies its slightly-off-putting name and is in fact one of the most delicious, savoury fungi on Jinsy (usuable in over three recipes). It was so-named By Davvid Roogett, a particularly selfish botanist who basically just wanted to keep all the mushrooms to himself (but tragically died, slipping on a stalk in his tiled kitchen). The Deadly Death Mushroom of Death grows mainly on the lower slopes of Joofer’s Hill and around the dank edges of the Welfrod Memorial Reservoir, quite near the man-mud chute. Recognisable by its distinctive yellow jacket with blue buttons and thin female neck, The Deadly Death Mushroom of Death grows conversely, unlike any other species yet discovered, meaning that all its insides appear before the outer layer suddenly catches up and clings on to what’s already there. This process was first observed by amateur biologists Herby and Doggy Kress, who first coined the term ‘insiding’. Deadly Death Mushrooms of Death are hard to catch, as they can hear you coming through invisible ears dotted all around their helmets and try to quickly duck back down into the ground when they know you’re there. So it’s best to take a net and wear soft-soled boots (or a pair of Dr. Martel's Shroom Shoes).
